Blah blah blah cleaning
Jan. 20th, 2019 03:56 pmThis weekend, it was way too cold to go anywhere, for the most part. So.
Went through and identified some sources of space/cleaning-related anxiety. Most of it is stuff that I can't really do anything about right now, due to the nature of my living space. But it did give me some things to think about re: maximizing effective use of my living space and also making it easier to clean.
These are (most likely) things that can be dealt with through gradual adjustments and reductions, and I'm feeling pretty optimistic about it.
I also found all of my beeswax candles. Which is nice. I think I might set time aside to burn them and while I read and clear my head a bit. Originally, I'd exclusively intended to use them for religious stuff, but - there are places in the city that sell them now; not like when I could only buy them by ordering online or going out of town. So, that's fine. I can enjoy them however I like. (Aside from the red ones. Those are for special use only. But the natural-coloured ones are fine for anything.)
Discovered that a lot of stuff in my massive to-be-read pile will be able to count toward my reading challenge, so that's added incentive to get to them sooner rather than later. Obviously, I won't like all of them (or even most of them) enough to want to keep them, so it'll mean that after I've enjoyed them, I'll be able to get them out of the house.
There are some things that will have to wait for me to tackle... later. Like my collection of loose pigment eyeshadow. Am I going to wear all of those? No! Because loose shadow is a pain in the ass to apply, especially when it's a very bold shade! But am I ready to let go of them yet? Also no! (And don't suggest I press them - I attempted that once, and made an enormous mess. Never again.)
...Anyway. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
