☆ The past couple of days have not been great, but I came home to a lovely package from a friend, so that was nice. It included art and a lovely notebook and HMM... I should decide what to use this notebook for... Poetry? Recipes? Something more serious? (If only my handwriting weren't so hideous.)

☆ Outside, it's been hovering around -40C due to wind, so I guess my mood kind of plunged with it. Oh, well. Tomorrow seems like it will be better (around -25C during the daytime? Which is reasonable) so I think I'll be all right.

☆ VME: "I am terribly interested in your brain structure"*. This scene is an actual thing that happened. In the novels, at least. I don't know what to do with this, but it seems perfect for, uh, something. Somebody needs to do something with this in fic, is what I'm saying. I could gush about how I can actually see the appeal of detailed study of someone's anatomy, including in the form of brain scans (?!), but since I'm tired, let's just... leave this here. Oh Hiraga, you delightful oddball.

☆ Note to self: Stephen King's 11/22/63 looks interesting. Check it out, perhaps?

☆ However, knowing King, it's a big fat book. This poses a... problem. I usually prefer to read stuff like that in ebook form (I did that with IT and some others). But, I usually read while waiting for the transit, and the cold is NOT kind to electronics! This is also the reason why I still haven't finished Sienkiewicz's With Fire and Sword - I'd decide to resort to the electronic version, but, well.... you know.

☆ Also note to self: when I have the energy, I'll have to take a look at that vid series about Slavic pagan stuff that the nice person I was talking to sent me... it seems really interesting but my concentration is so shot right now.
