☆ Annoying things: When you arrange to help someone do something, and two hours after lunch they are still not ready, and by the time you do get it done, it's nearly time for supper, and the better part of the day is over. MAN. I try not to get too grumpy over it, but I really am the kind of person to get things done at buttfuck in the morning, and waiting around for people just makes me terribly cranky.

☆ And so, I didn't do much today because I spent most of it waiting around for somebody else. :| You can imagine how pleased I am about this. :|

☆ HOWEVER. ALL WAS NOT LOST. Because tonight was horror movie night with dear Witchy, and it was a good time. Hey everybody, if you're interested in horror movies, you should watch It Follows. It starts off slow and steady, and once it gets going, it really gets going - and never gets to a place where the pace is excessive. The slow and steady pace is to the advantage, because this movie relies a lot on what the viewer doesn't see, and what the viewer anticipates to happen, without really showing much directly. Also, just enough is explained to get an understanding of the threat (the It that is Following, as it were) without resorting to infodumping. That is, the amount that the characters discover is not a lot, but it's enough, and it's an amount that makes sense under the circumstances. Best of all though, the entire film has a very retro feel - not just in the styling, but also in the cinematography and such. Apparently they took some inspiration from Halloween and other similar old horror films, and it really shows, in a good way. It wasn't a perfect movie - there were some things I didn't like about it - but it was so refreshing compared to some of the horror films I've watched lately.

☆ ...Other than that, today was uneventful. I expect tomorrow will be the same. There are tons of things I vaguely want to do, but on the other hand I don't, and I guess it's up in the air as to whether I'll accomplish anything, or whether I'll spend most of the weekend catching up on the sleep I lost this week. I guess I'll need to see how I feel in the morning.
