(no subject)

I haven't started to put together my resolution list, but I know one thing that's going to be on it: I'm going to try not to buy any more books in 2015. Whether this works as planned is something we'll have to wait on, but really.

I have too many books that I haven't read yet, and too many books that I want to re-read. So this is a problem of my own making, and I'm going to try to solve it. /o/

One of the series I want to re-read is Discworld... for some of those novels, it's been ages since I've read them; it'll be nice to revisit them. It's just a matter of deciding what order I'll read them in, if any.

Anyway... I've fallen behind on communicating with people. I've just been so overwhelmed with everything, it's terrible.

Today came across Pathfinder, a power metal band from Poland. I'm delighted! They remind me of Rhapsody, a bit, or at least the way Rhapsody sounded when it was at its best. Except that Pathfinder's sound has an atmosphere that is... "brighter"? Not sure how to describe it, quite. Certainly clearer lyrics than Rhapsody. But anyway, very bright, very epic, lots of opera embellishments, very colourful sound.

My only disappointment is that they don't have any songs in Polish! It's pretty common for power metal bands to do their songs mainly in English, but occasionally there's one or two songs in their native language. However, Pathfinder only has two studio albums out so far, so who knows what they'll do eventually.
