On the upside, I read a bit more of Jonathan Strange and Mister Norrell yesterday at lunch and have concluded that the problem I had with paying attention probably wasn't the book itself. It's just that I've been trying to read it while exhausted. Because I was able to pay attention just fine when I was wide awake.
Looking forward to the World Cup, though unfortunately I'm going to miss most of the matches since they're in the daytime. Except on weekends. Oh well, should be fun. Maybe I'll take up knitting again so that I can have something to do with my hands while I watch it... I've been neglecting that. Anyway, we're doing a pool at work; teams are assigned randomly and whoever draws the team that wins the cup is going to bring home $1600. :D This works out conveniently, because I had no idea who to cheer for this year. Problem solved!
