Well.
Mum's been home for about a week. She came home on the 8th, so she's been here. Unfortunately, she's really bored - she's not one of those people who is good at entertaining themselves - but there's nothing I can do about that. The most that I can do is make sure that everything in the house gets done.
Yesterday I received some books that I ordered for learning Norwegian, and I'm really excited to have them, though I don't know when I'll get a chance to actually study anything properly. It's hard to find a quiet moment to myself right now. But hopefully I'll get a chance soon. The audiolessons I've been using are okay, but they aren't very helpful for reading and writing. (... My parents, of course, think this is all a stupid waste of time, but uh, I'm trying to ignore that. They think all of my hobbies are a stupid waste of time.)
Getting increasingly frustrated with this fest fic that I need to work on. The idea is interesting, one that I've wanted to do for ages, but because of real-life things I'm feeling it really hard to get started, let alone to write at all. Even tried to work on a different thing while I was at work yesterday and nope, no go. I was thinking of maybe getting up really early tomorrow and trying to get some work done that way, but we'll see. I guess it all depends on whether I'll feel up t not. I suppose that if I don't find time for this one, I can do something else, something easy - 1000 words wouldn't be too hard to pound out in a pinch - but I really, really want to do this one idea.
Unfortunately, the only thing I feel like I have the energy to do these days when I do have any free time is just.... flop around and watch Star Trek. Or go for a run. Something easy where I don't have to concentrate much. The last thing I want to do when I get home from work is write.
Not everything is bad, though. I've been doing lots of exercise, which is great. And I've been (slowly) reading Oliver Twist during break at work. It's... something to do, at least. Weather's still hella' cold, though. Looks like that will be sticking around for a while.
