Going well? Good.

Well, well! So far, the fest is going even better than I had planned. I will not lie, I was kind of worried that nobody except my friends would be interested - but so far, there's over 25 people signed on for it, and the signup has only been open for a couple of days. It's a good sign. Unless a whole boatload of people decide to drop out, it looks like this will be a success - but I'm going to try to not count my chickens just yet, so to speak. Am I ever glad that I had the foresight to do up several prompt-lists ahead of time, though. Definitely saved me a lot of grief.

So glad to have a day off from work, though. Ten days in a row is just too much. I am going to laze around today and do absolutely nothing - except relax, and read as much as I like, and possibly go out for coffee. I have a new book on the Black Plague that I can hardly wait to start reading, not to mention sundry novels that I have here and there. (I really should think of putting together a box to take to the used bookstore, now that I think about it - I'm sure I have several that I've read once that I won't bother with again....)

I've been reading published fiction more than fanfiction these days, mostly because I've been finding it harder to concentrate on fanfiction for some weird reason. Very strange. Well, I'm sure it'll flip the other way eventually. My interests are very fickle and my attention span for things is constantly-changing.
