Dragcave dorks: Still have a silver egg hatchling up for grabs, if anyone wants it.

Well, today was interesting. It feels like it was so busy, and yet, barely anything happened! How strange.

I finally finished marking around lunch time. Seriously, you guys. You guys, seriously. It was torturous. And to make it worse, I had to fail one of my favourite students. :/ She tries hard, she really does, but the paper was simply awful. She even took the paper to me early on for advice, and it still turned out terrible. I feel so awful about it.

"Hey, do you know anything about Europe?"
"Pffft, no."
Spent some time after school chillin' with jesusphreaq in our office, and that's when the above dialogue took place, hah. I got a few pages of fanfiction written, nothing major. Starting out is always the hardest part. Doesn't help that after writing half a page I had to scrap everything and start over. Basically, I did some double-checking using googlemaps and found out that no, actually, you can't drive from Warsaw to Tallinn in a day. Well, all right, technically you can, but you wouldn't want to, 'cause it'd take about fourteen hours - just a little bit longer than driving from Fort Mac to S'toon. Man, was that ever an awful drive. Anyway, I learned that Europe is tiny, but not that tiny, and had to come up with an entirely different opening scene. Ah, well. It's started, and the ball is rolling. Hopefully I'll snatch some time to write a page or two more tomorrow.

Found out that the textbook I need for next week is still not in. What the fuck. I don't know what the prof is going to have us do about that. This is the second week we've had to put off reading that novel. The guy at the store said it should be in tomorrow, but I dunno', man. It's getting a little ridiculous.

Tomorrow is the weekly ECC coffee time. Being the coffee connoisseur that I am, I'm in charge of it. Had to grind up some new beans, so I did that. Aaaand it's my turn to bring the treats, so after supper I baked up my famous chocolate chip cookies. They don't taste quite the same as they usually do because I forgot I'd run out of vanilla, but they're still really good and I made enough for everyone to have at least two. Woot.

The prof is sitting in on my teaching session tomorrow, so I really should set out my lesson plan. Mmph. x.X I hope this session goes as well as the one on Beowulf did. Man, that class was awesome. But who knows, maybe not... mmmneh.
