Vividmaps: Cities With Similar Climate

Came across this again today (have seen it before) and decided to share 'cause it's pretty neat!

Clicking on a location will give some basic biome info and a list of cities with climates similar to whatever location you're looking at.

Obviously it's an approximation, take it with salt etc, but it's cool to be able to look at a thing and realize "Oh, it's kind of like such-and-such".

My hometown's listed as similar to Novosibirsk, and... yeah, that sounds about right. It gets pretty cold over here.

Yesss it's so much fun to zoom around and take a look at the comparisons. At least when it's comparing to things I'm familiar with.

Where I live is listed as similar to London. Well...the raini-ness checks out?

It kind of makes me wonder what criteria they use for deciding this stuff.
