Knitting etc
I've decided that since I have so much free time on my hands, I'm going to learn to knit cables. AND I'm going to learn to crochet. One after the other, of course. :D These are things that I've always wanted to know how to do, but never could push myself to get around to learning. No time like the present to start.
Probably going to use this hat pattern for my cable experiments. It looks relatively foolproof to me (but we'll see how it goes!). The yarn will be some dark brown 100% wool by Rowan that I picked up because it was on clearance and then didn't know what to do with.
For crochet... I have some miscellaneous unidentified scraps to practice on, and then I think I'll try this scarf and handwarmer set. There are a few balls of Cascade 220 kicking around my stash that I'm sure I had a project in mind for, but bugger if I can remember what it was. They will be designated for crochet experiments now. ;p
But first, I need to finish the fingerless gloves I've been working on...! Which are quite fun, and I'll post about them more later.
