Dropping this here for my own reference - there is now bookmarklet to help with linkposts on Dreamwidth. It allows you to do quick link posting along with quotations.
I likely won't be using it myself, because I generally handcode my entries in .txt files before posting. Also, it seems that it isn't easy to post more than one link at once. It's a neat little tool, though; I'm glad people are fiddling around with this kind of thing.
Also on the subject of Dreamwidth: I keep seeing some sort of "Dreamwidth is for shitposting" thing going around. It confuses me a bit, because I never really thought of Dreamwidth (or Livejournal) as a place exclusively for formal stuff to begin with, even though I do run into people who have that impression a lot. Shitposting - and also informal short entires - have always been a part of it, or at least I feel that way.
Well, if it means people are going to make more short and silly entries, that sounds nice to me.

I'm unsure if there would be an easy way to write one that would work for multiple links. :|a Though admittedly I know nothing about coding.
