I haven't been watching it a whole lot but I keep running into people who say "I FIND IT FASCINATING though I don't even understand how it works, what the heck". People are so silly. But ahhhh I haven't played it in years and years and I kind of wish I could again.

This is just painful to watch! We keep missing by the inches. If you keep playing like this the victory is going to be yours and it's going to be well deserved.
Heh, for me it was the opposite, I couldn't stand watching curling before I played it, because then I started understanding some of the rules. What I really love about curling is the tactics though, it's like chess on ice. Except I hate chess and love curling, yeah.
(Silly, you're thinking 'bout the women's curling, so far you're undefeated in the men's ^^)

Yeahhh I'm watching it now as I'm making supper and MAN. What's going on with y'all, I don't know. Oh, well~

I think what people who don't know anything about it find appealing is that in some way it's kind of... relaxing to watch. At least I've found they say so. Maybe because, as you mentioned, it's kind of cerebral - like chess (though I can't stand chess, I'm so bad it)

OH RIGHT, you're right. BUT in my defence I made that comment when I had only just got out of bed, so I clearly wasn't thinking straight. ;p
