I'm trying to think of it less as plans being cancelled, and more like just... moved back. Clearly Finland just needs more time to prepare to receive my Awesome Self. ;)

Yeah, that time of year - and what with the whole grad school thing, it's harder than I'm used to, second year be damned. But I'll manage! (As for my mum, well... she has this thing where she wants the best for me but a lot of the time what she thinks is best isn't really what's best for me at all, if you know what I mean. But aside from that she's pretty okay)
