This is true. When I was younger I didn't notice it at all - just kind of disregarded anything that I was familiar with - but now I'm starting to see that even the places I have lived (which aren't exactly the kind of places people would want to visit) are beautiful, if a person looks at it differently.

And pff, you're right, when you put it that way... we are very far apart. Thinking about it still startles me! I'm not used to talking to people so far away. Before this fandom I mostly just knew Americans on the internet, and most of the ones I met weren't really interested in Canada....
